Welsh Corgi: Pembroke or Cardigan? 11.24.2019

Pembroke or Cardigan, that is the question?

Below is a new drawing of a Welsh Corgi I just completed. This breed is a favorite of my granddaughter and niece and many others that I know.

Did you know?
The Welsh Corgi, sometimes known as Corgi or kɔːrɡi (Welsh for "dwarf dog") originated in Wales,U.K. There are two separate breeds: the Pembroke Welsh Corgi and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi. Historically, the Pembroke has been attributed to the influx of dogs with Flemish weavers during the 10th century, while the Cardigan is attributed to the dogs brought with Norse settlers (in particular a common ancestor of the Swedish Vallhund)
A certain degree of interbreeding between the Pembroke and the Cardigan  has been suggested to explain the similarities between the two.
