Below is a new drawing of my Nepenthes Gymnamphora Nepenthes Gymnamphora (Highland) is native to Java and Sumatra. It grows at elevations of 2,000–9,200 feet above sea level.

Meet the artist...me!

I'm Liz. I've been doodling since I was a kid. In fact, I doodled my way though high school algebra...but that's another story for another post. After I graduated from college, I had kids and started working as a RN. I had little time to draw. Years later (about 10 years ago) I picked up my pencil on a whim and started sketching. I was quickly reminded why I loved it as a child and as a teen. It is very calming for me. I can literally lose myself in the piece I'm working on. So here I am 10 years later and I'm still drawing, painting and most recently dabbling in mixed media. My favs are animals, quirky kitsch, flowers, landscapes.
